Cauliflower Fritters Stir Fry- T-Fal Actifry

Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour- ½ cup
  • Corn starch- ¼ cup (or rice flour)
  • Ground black pepper- a few pinches
  • Salt- a few pinches
  • Water- ½ cup
  • Cauliflower, florets- 1½ cups
  • Oil- 1 tbsp
  • Oil- 1 tbsp
  • Garlic, minced- 1 clove
  • Ginger, minced- 1 inch slice
  • Dried red chilies- 2, halved
  • Red Chili sauce- 1 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce, low-sodium- 3 tbsp
  • Honey- ½ tbsp
  • Rice Vinegar- ½ tbsp (optional)
  • Sesame seeds- ½ tbsp
  • Green onions, chopped- 2 stalks
  • Cilantro, chopped- 2 handfuls

Instruction:

  1. In a bowl- combine all purpose flour, corn starch, salt and ground black pepper along with water and make into a smooth batter.
  2. Dip cauliflower florets in the batter.
  3. Place the battered florets onto the Actifry basket (snacking grill accessory). Drizzle with 1 tbsp oil evenly over the florets.
  4. Place the basket into the Actifry.
  5. Select Mode 3 for battered snacks, default time is 20 minutes.
  6. After 20 minutes, remove the basket from the Actifry and keep aside.
  7. Place a pan over medium heat, add 1 tbsp oil.
  8. Add minced garlic and ginger, saute till light golden.
  9. Add dried red chilies, saute for 3 seconds.
  10. Add red chili sauce, soy sauce, honey and rice vinegar; combine well.
  11. Add air fried cauliflower fritters, combine well in the sauce.
  12. Add sesame seeds, combine well.
  13. Add cilantro and green onions, stir fry for a minute.
  14. Serve the cauliflower fritter stir fry on a platter and enjoy.

Crispy Un-Fried Chicken Wings

I did not salt the wings prior to cooking because I tossed them afterwards with seasoning that already contained salt.

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1 egg (beaten lightly)
  • 1 pound chicken wings (cut into parts)
  • Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • Korean Fried Chicken Wing Sauce
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • Cajun Seasoning

Instruction:

  1. Toss chicken wings with rice flour (I used a Ziploc bag). Dip wings in beaten egg to coat, letting excess drip off. Toss wings in rice flour again. Place wings in a single layer on a large plate. Place in refrigerator (uncovered) for a few hours (you don’t have to do this, but I did because I thought it would make for a crispier skin). Place in ActiFry and cook for 25-30 minutes until crispy and nicely browned. Sprinkle your favorite seasonings on and toss.

Ingredients:

  • ‎500g chicken breasts
  • ‎1 cup flour‎
  • ‎½ cup hot sauce‎
  • ‎½ tbsp salt‎
  • ‎1 tbsp black pepper‎
  • ‎1 tbsp vegetable oil

Cut chicken into even thin strips and pat them dry.‎

In a shallow dish, mix flour, black pepper and salt. Pour hot sauce into another dish.‎

Dip chicken strips one at the time in hot sauce and then in the flour mixture.‎

Place chicken strips in Actifry Express Snacking grid and add vegetable oil. Make sure they are ‎not touching.‎

Set Actifry to the poultry cooking program and cook chicken until golden and crispy from 10 to ‎‎15 minutes.‎
